Design
The structural design department uses Computer Aided Design (CAD) to develop unique and effective folding carton, corrugated, and thermoformed plastics design solutions. Our innovative designers focus on a combination of the product, the customer, and the customer's consumer needs when developing efficient and effective packaging solutions.
A direct computer link to the Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) system enables our designers to be more creative and responsive in the design and development process.
With an in-house die shop, Midlands can create state-of-the-art tooling for folding carton and corrugated production. And because our die shop is in house, the turn around time on tooling is much quicker and more efficient.
The design department also offers the Esko Graphics WebCenter (link to webcenter page). This tool allows customers to track projects in the design department, approve samples with automatic notification, and offers online graphics proof approvals. Thus making the design process easier and more efficient.
